DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

The college was established on 20thDec, 1984 through a Government Order vide G.O.Ms.No.306 Edn.Dt.19.07.1983, a restructured course offered in Science stream with Chemistry, Botany & Bio. Technology combination was introduced in 2007 with an intake of 30 students to enrich the knowledge of Chemical science, Botanical Science & Bio. Technology to face the competition sprits in the present employment market and need.
The college has further started functioning two additional conventional courses B.Sc.(Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry) and B.Sc.(Chemistry, Botany & Zoology) with effect from the academic year 2015-16.
The Dept. has the freedom in planning and organizing, curricular and co-curricular activities like Seminars, Assignments, Quiz, Study Projects, Debates, Group Discussions, ICT based teaching, Field Trips, Botanical Tours, Guest Lectures and Extension Activities etc.
The Dept. also going to adopting new teaching methods and techniques from time to time to improve their student skills.
To improve their performance at University examination we are conducting and analysing the performance at internal examinations.
